Why a Dealer Needs a DOT #

If you travel across state lines in order to pick up vehicles bought at out of state auctions with your rollback or transporter, you are engaged in interstate commerce. (This is also true if you drive buses or tractor trailers across state lines.)

Pennsylvania does not require a DOT#, but once you cross state lines and into another state that does, you could very well be stopped and held at that location until you obtain a DOT#.

This is where Dealer Consulting Services of PA. can help.  We can assist you in obtaining the DOT# and have it sent via fax to your location where you may be stopped. It takes about 30 - 45 minutes and a credit card to complete the transaction.

If you are looking to save money, get one now so you aren't paying a driver or paying for an out of state citation.
